This page tells you how Velvy collects and protects your personal info. By using our app, you agree to the rules written here. We want to be very clear and honest about how we take care of your data.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION

We collect info you give us directly (like your name, age, and photos) and info we get automatically (like what phone you use and your IP address). If you choose to sign in using third-party services like Apple or Google, we collect your basic profile information (such as your email address and name) provided by those services.

Usage Data: In-app activity logs such as screens visited, features used, and interaction patterns. This data is collected to improve your experience, ensure platform safety, and optimize app performance. It does not track you across other apps or websites.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We use your info to: find you matches, make the app better, stop fake accounts, keep the community safe, and provide you with information about our own premium services and subscriptions.

4. IN-APP ANALYTICS

To continuously improve the Velvy experience, we collect anonymized in-app activity data. This includes which screens you visit, which features you interact with, and general usage patterns. This information helps us:

  • Identify and fix bugs or performance issues faster.
  • Understand which features are most valuable to our community.
  • Ensure platform safety and detect abusive behavior patterns.

This data is strictly internal and is never shared with or sold to third parties. It does not include the content of your messages, your precise location history, or any tracking across other apps. You can request deletion of your activity data at any time by contacting our support team.

5. SECURE MAGIC BIO TOOLS

To enhance your experience, Velvy offers an automated "Magic Bio" feature. This tool uses secure internal templates and your profile data to help you create a personalized bio. No profile data is ever shared with third-party AI providers for this purpose, and all processing is handled securely within our internal infrastructure.

6. LOCATION AND TRACKING

To show you people nearby, we need your GPS location. You can turn this off in your phone settings anytime. You may also use features like Travel Mode to manually change your visible location.

7. AUDIO, CAMERA, AND MEDIA

We only use your microphone for recording Voice Stories on your profile and your camera for profile photos. We never listen or look without you knowing.

8. ILLUSTRATIVE IMAGES

Velvy uses computer-generated images for illustrative and instructional purposes within the app (such as profile photo guides and welcome screens). These images are not of real individuals or users and are used strictly to enhance the user experience and provide clear examples of app functionality.

9. IDENTITY VERIFICATION (30-DAY AUTO-DELETE)

To keep scammers out, we may ask you to show us an official ID and take a live selfie. We take your privacy very seriously:

  • Verification only: We only use this info to prove you are real.
  • Face Match Technology: We use secure technology to process data from your selfie strictly to confirm you are a real person and match it against your ID. This data is never shared with any third parties.
  • 30-Day Auto-Delete: Once you are verified, we keep your ID photo and verification records for only 30 days. After 30 days, we automatically delete it from our servers forever.

10. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do NOT sell your data. We only share info if the law says we have to for your safety.

11. DATA SECURITY AND STORAGE

We use strong digital locks to keep your messages and photos safe. Your data is stored on secure servers with 24/7 protection.

12. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You can change your profile anytime, stop sharing your location, or ask us for a copy of the info we have about you.

13. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT (90-DAY RULE)

If you click 'Delete Account' in settings, your profile is hidden immediately. You have 90 days to change your mind and log back in to save your account. After 90 days, everything is deleted forever.

14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Velvy is for adults only (18+). If we find anyone under 18, we will delete their account immediately.

15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we make big changes to these rules, we will let you know through the app or by email.
